Requirements for Uber Drivers in Germany

 

  • Must be at least 21 years and above
  • Hold a valid driver’s license
  • One must be free from any previous criminal provisions or pending issues
  • Have a vehicle with four doors and a modern model with five seats

  • Model Year: Must be manufactured after year 2007
  • Must have four doors
  • No Cosmetic damage
  • No commercial branding

This is the most common Uber service across the globe. This is because of the low fares offered. This also means that as a driver, you’ll get plenty of work and earn more money. The vehicles are usually 1600cc and below, but not limited to that. They can carry a maximum of 4 passengers.

  • Body Style: Any with 4 full, independently opening doors
  • No Cosmetic damage or missing piece pieces
  • No commercial branding

UberBLACK is a premium service by Uber. It targets riders that want to have some sort of luxury in their rides. All the vehicles have a black exterior and the interior is leather.

 

Vehicle Requirements

 

  • Model Year: Must be manufactured after year 2012
  • Vehicle Specs: Minimum 2000cc with leather seats
  • No Cosmetic damage
  • No commercial branding
  • No large passenger vans or commercial/Heavy Duty trucks

 

Examples of UberBLACK vehicles include:

 

  • Audi: A6, A7
  • BMW: 5 Series
  • Cadillac: XTS
  • Infiniti: Q70
  • Jaguar: XF
  • Lexus: GS
  • Mercedes-Benz: E-Class

UberVAN

 

This is a service that is similar to UberX but with a vehicle that carries more people, up to 6. This is a service that is ideal when you’re going out with friends, or with your family.

 

All three services are available in Munich but only UberX is available in Berlin.

 

Uber App

 

You will then be required to download the Uber app from either the google play store or the apple store. It is a must to have the app because all of the Uber services will be accessed through the app. Below is a list of some of the things one can do with the app:

 

  • Receive rider requests through notifications
  • Inbuilt GPS map to follow convenient routes to destinations for driver convenience
  • Track down the history of the rides
  • Track down finances
  • Rate riders
  • In cases of danger, it is easy for Uber to track down the routes used during the rides with the help of a GPS
  • Disputes are easily tracked down, and especially those involving routes

 

How Much Does an Uber Driver in Germany Make?

 

The amount of money that drivers earn completely depends on the drivers themselves. They can earn more if they drive for longer hours and take advantage of the surge areas. If they are in the right place at the right time, they are bound to make good money.
