Driving under Uber you must convert your vehicle from P10/P11 to Z10/Z11 at LTA. You will need to provide ACRA, commercial insurance and company stamp. The company stamp needs to include your registered company name and ACRA number.

Working as an Uber Partner, driving with Uber is obligation-free! You can choose to start or stop driving anytime you want. This is a flexible job, you can work when it suits your lifestyle. If you need to stop and go pickup or drop the kids to school, attend a private appointment; it’s all up to you.

Steps On How to Drive Your Own Car for Uber

 

Step 1: You need to be Registered as a Sole Proprietorship

 

When operating as an Uber partner driving your own car, you must have a business profile in order to get paid by Uber. Registering to operate as a business is very simple and takes no more than 30 minutes to complete. Registration can be done online at www.bizfile.gov.sg – use business activity code 49219.

Step 2: Purchase Commercial Insurance

 

All vehicles on Uber platform need to be insured commercially insured; this requirement ensures that driver and rider are protected should an accident arise.

 

Step 3: Vehicle Conversion

What If My Car is Still Uber Financing?

 

You may have a vehicle that is currently under financing and may need to refinance your car loan in order to convert it to Z10 or Z11 registration. Uber’s has preferred refinancing partners that can help you!
